The launch of Welbeck Abbey Brewery Charity Beer Raising the Dough
On Tuesday 26th April 2024 the first pint of In Sam’s Name charity ale, brewed by Welbeck Abbey Brewery, “Raising the Dough” was pulled by, Sam's Dad, Stewart Fisher at 7pm in The Mallard pub in Worksop.
Stewart raised a toast to Sam before taking the first sip of 3.9% session ale. Weeks before founder of In Sam's Name, Richard McHugh, helped brew the beer with 10p per pint sold going towards the charity.
Bakery students at the School of Artisan Food have now graduated, however their final assessment generated a vast quantity of baguettes which were shredded and used instead of malt.
Fresh and fragrant hops have been added later in the brew to create light and tropical fruity session pale with all the flavour of an American IPA.
We would like to thank Claire and the Team at Welbeck Abbey Brewery, Wayne Cadman at The Mallard and all who attended the launch. And we hope everyone enjoys a drink of “Raising the Dough” but we urge you to Drink Responsibly.
